The mushrooms have been doing mushroom things, the fruiting room has been producing the goods, and this week we’ve got another fresh Shroom Drop now available at Five a Day in Ventnor.

And frankly, it’s a rather good one.

🌸 Pink Oysters

Bright, frilly and gloriously pink, these little beauties are back. They have a delicate texture with plenty of flavour and are absolutely brilliant cooked quickly in a hot pan until the edges go crispy.

🤍 Pearl Oysters

The dependable classics of the oyster family. Meaty, versatile and excellent at soaking up whatever delicious nonsense you throw at them. Fry them, roast them, tear them into pieces or chuck them into a stir-fry.

🖤 Black Pearls

Dark, dramatic and slightly chunky, our Black Pearls are a cross between oyster and king oyster varieties, giving you the best of both worlds. Their firm texture makes them particularly good for getting those lovely golden, crispy edges. Eat the stems!

🦁 Lion’s Mane

The fluffy brain-looking superstar returns! Lion’s Mane has a wonderfully meaty texture and is a proper little flavour sponge. Tear it into chunks and fry until golden, or give it the full crispy treatment for a seriously satisfying mushroomy bite.

📍 Find them at Five a Day

Our fresh mushrooms will be available at Five a Day in Ventnor this week, while stocks last.

Everything is grown in small batches here at The Undercliff Shroomery, hand picked when ready and sent out fresh.

No mysterious supermarket mushroom miles. No sitting around getting sad in a plastic tray. And no pesticides 👏

Just freshly harvested fungi, grown on the Isle of Wight. 🍄

If you fancy getting your paws on some, pop into Five a Day and see what the Shroomery has delivered this week.

Small batch. Slow grown. Zero nasties.

And yes, we fully encourage you to make dinner unnecessarily mushroom-heavy.

That is basically our entire business model.
